Verse 1: before you i was just another girl who longed to be loved, i was so sure that love was just a walk in the park. i had no idea that i was in for the biggest shock of my life, love was full of lots of good times, but it had insuspected strife, that's when i found that without you being near the pain was so deep that it could cut like a knife.
-chorus- that's why when i am near you i hold on so tight because i know the fright in the back of my mind would lead me to the night where all i do is think about you. there are a number of things i would do for you because i remember before all the time i had to wait, then you came along like prince charming on your white horse, rescuing me from seeing the doubt and misfortune of my life before you came along.
Verse 2: when you came i remember when the first thing you did was write me a song and told me how much you cared about me. i remember the sight, not a moment has been more perfect than that. your voice took me away to a place i've never been before, the words carry on forever in my heart, mind, and soul, nobody could have ever foretold how happy i would this exact day in time.
