I just ignored her, but don’t ask me why
cause i've got a feeling i couldn’t reply
i just looked straight past her and thought to myself
how much more i’d rather be somewhere else
welcome to freshmen year at school
She just kept talking while i walked away
i left her surprised and offended that day
i know she was thinking, how could i get by
without something like her in my life
i’ll leave with my 3.1 gpa
cause i learned all that stuff back in eight grade
I think back to april two thousand and one
when i made my own rules and lived just for fun
so i count my blessings and pack up my bags
and i move my heart to where there’s greener grass
i’ve got to find my way back home
